Baselworld 2013: Jacob & Co. Launches New Global Advertising Campaign Featuring World Renowned Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo
New Ghost Watch part of several new collections to be revealed in massive 555 square meters booth at BaselworldJacob & Co, the legendary luxury watch and diamond jewelry house, announced today the launch of its new global advertising campaign featuring international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The campaign, which will launch later this Spring both domestically and internationally, will feature a new range of eye catching Jacob & Co. timepieces. Along with Ronaldo, the new Ghost Watch will be the centerpiece of the campaign. The digital ‘twenty time zone’ masterpiece is crafted in the same pentagram shape of the ‘Grand’ collection that has become a signature for the brand.

A fan of the brand for several years and an enthusiastic collector of Jacob & Co. timepieces, it was a natural fit for Ronaldo. “I’m excited to be representing Jacob & Co. globally as the first male ambassador,” said Ronaldo. “As a collector of watches and fine jewelry, I truly appreciate the craftsmanship, design and incredible attention to detail that goes into each piece. On the set, I fell in love with the new Ghost watch. It’s a perfect fit for my lifestyle,” Ronaldo continued.
Highly regarded fashion photographer, José Manuel Ferrater, shot the campaign in Madrid, Spain. The in-house creative team at Jacob & Co. sought to emphasize Ronaldo’s strong personality and rugged looks, which resulted in the striking images. Fans of Ronaldo and the brand can expect to see a series of new images introduced throughout 2013 and 2014.

The Ghost Watch is just one of several new collections to be unveiled at the watch & jewelry fair Baselworld on April 25, 2013 at the newly designed $3 million Jacob & Co. pavilion. At approximately 555 square meters, the massive showcase is set to be one of the biggest at the show. The custom booth design features 22’ entrance points, flanked by columns inspired by the art deco era. Seventeen trucks will transport the custom stand from Italy to Switzerland for the exhibition. Accented by high polish chrome accents, ebony wood, rich velvets and fine Italian leathers, the showcase is certain to snag the attention of the global media.
